AYRES SENSORY INTEGRATION

Dr. A. Jean Ayres, PhD, OTR, FAOTA, an occupational therapist and psychologist systematically investigated the nature of the way the brain processes sensory information so that it can be used for learning, emotions and behavior, creating sensory integration theory as it is currently used in occupational therapy practice and applied in pediatrics and childhood education.
