Committed to Safety for Everybody - Coronavirus (Covid-19)

Update Notice 15/6/2020

We are pleased to announce that more of our wonderful team are back and are able to respond to queries, send orders and manufacture equipment, albeit following strict social distancing guidelines. We should now see a gradual return to "normal service".

We are in the process of contacting our customers who have orders on back order, due to the lockdown, to update renewed lead times. We are still at the mercy of some of our suppliers who have a limited availibility of items, but we will do our best to find alternatives or offer a solution for you.

We continue to monitor the situation and follow the Governmental advice to ensure that our customers and employees remain safe. We are conducting site visits and are happy to comply to the various measures our customer implement.

Finally, we are working with our colleagues in the US to provide further information about cleaning our products and how to maintain them given the increased need for hygiene in the clinic and school setting. Watch this space!

Many Thanks

Robert

Update Notice 21/4/2020

Following the Governments announcement that the lockdown will be extended for an additional 3 weeks, we will continue to operate a reduced service. Web & Purchase Orders placed will be fulfilled (where possible) though delivery times will be extended. Please allow a minimum of 5 working days.

Our telephone service is reduced, so waiting times to get through to a member of our team may be increased, we however are conitnuing to monitor sales@southpaw.co.uk and accounts@southpawco.uk, so please email us if you have a question or want to check the status of an order. We hope all our friends, family and customers are remaining safe during this time and we look forward to getting back to normal as soon as it is safe to do so.

Many Thanks

Update Notice 31/3/2020

We hope all our friends, family and customers are remaining safe during this time.

Understandably, even though we have tried to remain operational for our customers and their needs, it has become apparent that the raw materials we need for manufacturing are now impossible to procure. This unfortunately means from todays date, we are having to suspend production of any Made to Order items.

This will not affect our ability to ship out in stock items and we will be contacting all customers shortly to inform them of this delay. Where customers have orders which contain both manufactured and stocked items, where practicable, we will offer a split shipment option.

To assist our remaining staff, please if possible make all contact through either sales@southpaw.co.uk or accounts@southpaw.co.uk as these are the only 2 accounts which are consistently monitored.

Many Thanks

Robert

Update Notice 24/3/2020

Following the recent information and advice provided by the Government, we have decided to further pull back our operations for the sake of our employees and families.

We understand that a number of our products can have a profound effect, especiailly when the majority of us staying at home and not having the access to the much needed facilities we are used to and this is the only reason why we will continue (safely) for as long as possible. Therefore from todays date, we have reduced our staff on site and set up a rota for staff to work unimpeded from home where possible. We will only be operating a shipment once per week, all orders recieved will be shipped on this specific date (to be confirmed). Emails will be monitored sporadically and responses may take a little longer than normal.

For any project work being undertaken, we are still working where possible, but given the social distancing protocols we are taking, manufacturing will be significantly slower than usual. We ask all our lovely customers to bear with us during this time and we hope we all stay safe during this worrying time.

Many Thanks

Update Notice 1/3/2020

Here at Southpaw we have been closely monitoring the spread of Covid-19 and what impact it will have on our staff, customers and general public in the coming weeks or months. Ultimately everyones well-being is our primary concern during this time.

We, along with Public Health England (PHE) and Governmental guidelines, have implemented protocols to prevent the spread of the disease while remaining operationally viable. As of now Southpaw is continuing to function, however it is important to share some of the actions we have implemented to give you peace of mind.

  • Staff have been encouraged to work from home where possible and we will implement technology to conduct meetings with customers.
  • We always place our employees needs in the highest regard and therefore are being especially mindful to their needs in regards to child care or assiting more vulnerable members of their community.
  • All staff have access to advice and support in regards to virus and have been briefed if they or any family members start showing symptoms.
  • Hand sanitising wipes/gels have been distributed to staff and placed throughout our offices and advice has been given on best hygiene practises including regular washing of hands.
  • All surfaces, "touch points" and entry/exit points are being routinely disinfected twice per day.
  • We have restricted any unneccessary visitors to our premises including suppliers & customers.
  • We are continuing to fulfill all exisiting and new orders and while we have the majority of our stock on hand, there may be some delays on certain items depending on the availibility from various suppliers. We will endeavour to keep you informed if this is the case.

It is good to mention that Online shopping is deemed safe as per the following advice from Royal Mail https://www.royalmail.com/coronavirus. Public Health England (PHE) has advised that people receiving parcels are not at risk of contracting the coronavirus. From experience with other coronaviruses, we know that these types of viruses don’t survive long on objects, such as letters or parcels. This complements the highly publicised guidance from PHE for people to wash their hands more often than usual using soap and hot water.

We understand that this will be a difficult time for all and we wish all our customers, friends and family health during this time. We will be doing all we can to support you during this time and remain open for business.

We understand that a lot of customers will be self isolating during this period, so on this basis, we will be working with our team of advisors to share ideas of how to bring Sensory Integration and other acitivities in to the home setting. In addition, we will look to help our community financially and we are looking at offering a range of heavily discounted products to help those who may not have access to their schools, therapists, centres etc.

Thank you for your understanding

Many Thanks

Robert
